Operation:

• Filter: Removes sediment and dirt from the pool water, allowing only clean water to return to the pool.
• Waste: Pumps the pool water through the MPV directly to the waste pipe, bypassing the filter sand bed. This is optimal for when the pool has a significant buildup of dirt and leaves.
• Closed: Completely shuts off the MPV, preventing water from the pump from passing through the filter. This position is utilized during the cleaning of the weir and pump basket.
• Backwash: Dislodges and removes dirt and particles from the sand bed, resulting in an effectively cleaned filter.
• Bypass: Enables water from the pump to bypass the filter sand bed. This is useful when utilizing pool chemicals as instructed.
• Rinse: Routes the pool water through the filter down the waste pipe. This position is used immediately after backwashing to rinse and settle the sand before reverting to the filter setting.

NOTE: Always turn off your pump prior to changing valve positions. Do not operate the pump with the valve in the closed position or when shifting valve positions.

After backwashing and rinsing, remember to replenish the pool with fresh water to restore the original water level.
